ABOUT DAVID

I am David Barker, and your elected Precinct Chair of precinct 126. I have lived in 126 for 23 years. I know this area and have watched it grow and change over time. This is one of the largest republican precincts in Harris County with over 1200 republican voters. The district is quite large at about 15 square miles and includes both Tomball and Waller school districts. Since I was sworn in as the precinct chair the Republican turnout in Precinct 126 has been in excess of 85%, which is in the top 10 county wide. In January/2024 the district was divided removing the Cy Fair school district out of the precinct. I continue to fight as the precinct chair to keep the conservative values of our area. I am also Director/Treasurer of the North Harris County Regional Water Authority for the last year. I have helped to reduce your water rates by 20% as well as improve transparency with the rate payers. I was a significant player in the efforts to get change on the Cy Fair Independent School District board over the last two elections. Block walking and getting out the vote for the now supermajority of conservatives on the board which will change the focus and direction of education for a decade if not more. I was a delegate to the 2022 Republican State Convention and worked on committees to adopt grass roots planks to the platform of the party. As an Air Force veteran, I strongly support, the brave men and women who have risked all for our way of life.

When I am re-elected, I will continue to represent my neighbors and friends as their grass roots representative in the Harris County Republican Party. I will continue to fight against exploitation of children, illegal immigration, corruption in our local government, and continue to get out the vote so we can keep the county, state, and country so many have fought for.
